About Us
Hello and welcome! My name is Christine, and together with my partner, Dale, I founded CMLCoons in 2023. Our cattery is run from our home, where every cat and kitten is raised with love, care, and daily attention.
Health is always my top priority. All of my cats are DNA tested, FIV/FeLV tested, and veterinarian checked to ensure I’m raising the healthiest kittens possible. I run a closed cattery, we do not use outside cats for breeding, nor do we allow our cats to be used in other catteries. This protects our cats and kittens from unwanted illnesses and helps us maintain the highest standard of health.
I specialize in the European Maine Coon. These cats are known for their wild beauty, with large square muzzles, and lovely lynx tips that give them their striking, unique look. My Maine Coons come from carefully chosen lines in Russia and Germany, where this style is especially well preserved.
Our Philosophy
In my cattery, I always focus on health, temperament, and type when breeding. I believe cats should not only look stunning but also be sweet, confident, and well-adjusted companions. We are a small cattery by choice. At the moment, I have four females, with another joining soon, and two males. This keeps us right at our personal limit — small, manageable, and giving each cat and kitten the individual attention they deserve. I do all the work myself, from caring for the cats to raising the kittens, and I am very mindful of keeping things balanced so I can do everything the right way. While some catteries have many cats, my goal has always been to remain small and focused so I can uphold the highest standards.
Personal Note
Breeding Maine Coons is not just a hobby for me — it’s a passion. In 2023, my son Nate left home to attend college in Tucson Arizona. Like many moms, I felt a bit lost and missed him deeply. I needed something meaningful to fill that empty space, something that would bring joy back into my days. That’s when I decided to start breeding Maine Coons. Raising these incredible cats has given me happiness, purpose, and a chance to share that joy with others. What started as a way to heal my heart quickly grew into a passion — and now, every kitten I raise carries a little piece of that love.
